Qiming Venture Partners' Alex Zhou Named to Forbes 2026 Midas List
Alex Zhou, Managing Partner at Qiming Venture Partners, has been ranked No. 80 on the 2026 Forbes Midas List, announced in a press release. The list highlights the top global venture capital investors and marks its 25th anniversary this year.
Zhou joined Qiming Venture Partners in 2014 and became Managing Partner in May 2024. He has built a record of early investments in technology and artificial intelligence, including portfolio companies such as Biren Technology, Zhipu AI, Axera Semiconductor, and Viewtrix Technology, all of which completed public listings in 2026.
Zhou’s approach focuses on identifying early inflection points in emerging technologies. He invested in Biren Technology at its founding in 2019 and backed Zhipu AI in early 2022 to support the development of its first generation large language model. His portfolio also includes robotics companies such as UBTECH Robotics, TARS, Dexmal, GalaxyBot, and ACE Robotics.
Founded in 2006, Qiming Venture Partners manages $9.5 billion across 18 funds. The firm invests in technology and healthcare, with more than RMB 12 billion deployed into over 100 AI projects. Its investments span areas including large language models, multimodal AI, and embodied intelligence.
