AI CoLab Hosts Second Annual 'AI for Health' Summit in Washington
The second annual Universal "AI for Health" Summit, organized by the AI CoLab, brought together healthcare leaders, educators, and researchers in Washington, D.C., on October 28–29, 2025, announced in a press release. The event, co-sponsored by DAIMLAS, was jointly hosted by MedStar Health and Georgetown University through their MedStar-Georgetown Collaborative Center for Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare Research and Education.
The summit featured panel discussions on topics such as entrepreneurship in AI, building the next generation of AI talent, and responsible deployment of AI systems in healthcare. Attendees explored areas including conversational AI, predictive modeling, disease trajectory analysis, and AI governance frameworks.
Participants also took part in a post-conference workshop series titled “AI for Healthcare Professionals: Masterclass on Staying Ahead in the Age of AI.” The event aimed to provide attendees with practical tools and insights to implement AI solutions in healthcare settings.
The collaboration between MedStar Health, Georgetown University, and DAIMLAS marks the second year of their partnership to advance research, education, and innovation in the responsible use of AI in healthcare.
