Agilis Air, a portfolio company of the YBI Engine Tech Incubator, has been selected as a Phase II Qualifier for the U.S. Department of War's $1 billion Drone Dominance Program, announced in a press release.

Out of 49 companies invited globally, Agilis Air was among a small number chosen across two mission categories: Mission A for long range strike and Mission B for urban strike. Most companies were selected for only one category. The dual recognition highlights Agilis Air’s manufacturing approach and system adaptability across multiple operational environments.

The selection positions the company as a contender for future production contracts that could exceed 8,000 drones. Agilis Air’s manufacturing model focuses on scalable, low cost production of autonomous systems aligned with the Department of War’s emphasis on rapidly deployable and attritable platforms.

Based in Youngstown, Ohio, Agilis Air collaborates with YBI and America Makes through the Youngstown Innovation Hub for Aerospace and Defense to advance defense manufacturing and drone production capabilities.
