Agile Robots SE and Google DeepMind have announced a strategic research partnership to integrate DeepMind’s Gemini Robotics foundation models into Agile Robots’ industrial systems, aiming to develop adaptable, intelligent robots for real-world applications.

Agile Robots SE and Google DeepMind have entered a strategic research partnership to advance next-generation AI robotics, announced in a press release.

The collaboration will integrate DeepMind’s Gemini Robotics foundation models into Agile Robots’ scalable industrial platforms. The goal is to create adaptable systems capable of reasoning and operating autonomously in complex industrial environments.

According to the announcement, Agile Robots will deploy these AI-enhanced robots across sectors such as electronics manufacturing, automotive, data centers, and logistics. Data collected from these deployments will also contribute to improving the underlying Gemini models.

Agile Robots CEO Zhaopeng Chen said the company has already installed over 20,000 robotic solutions worldwide, emphasizing that the integration of Gemini Robotics models positions them at the forefront of intelligent automation. Carolina Parada, senior director and head of robotics at Google DeepMind, described the partnership as an important step in applying advanced AI to the physical world.
