YFORE Technology debuted its Occupant & Driver Monitoring System, or ODMS, during the opening of its North American manufacturing facility in Georgia, the company announced in a press release.

The in cabin sensing system combines a smart mirror with an automotive grade cabin radar. The mirror camera monitors driver fatigue, distraction, unresponsive states, and phone use. The radar is designed to detect breathing and occupant presence in rear rows and footwells, including when occupants are covered or blocked from a camera view.

YFORE said ODMS covers seven functions: driver fatigue detection, distraction detection, unresponsive driver detection, phone use detection, seatbelt status, occupant classification, and cabin life presence detection. The company said the design embeds optical components in the smart mirror and pairs them with a compact radar module, reducing headliner cutouts and roof wiring.
