Xpanner Unveils X1 Kit for AI-Driven Construction Automation

September 04, 2025
Xpanner has launched its X1 Kit, a scalable AI-based retrofit solution for construction sites, addressing labor shortages and operational inefficiencies.

Xpanner has officially launched its X1 Kit, a scalable AI-based retrofit solution designed to automate construction sites, announced in a press release. The X1 Kit aims to tackle challenges such as labor shortages, safety hazards, and operational inefficiencies by integrating seamlessly with existing construction machinery.

The X1 Kit transforms traditional construction machines into 'software-defined machinery' (SDM), enabling them to automate complex tasks and reduce reliance on highly skilled labor. This adaptability is particularly effective in high-impact applications like pile driving in solar installations, where it has reportedly reduced labor needs by 80% and operation time by 50%.

The kit incorporates three of Xpanner's technologies: Mango, M2, and a proprietary software suite. Mango ensures precise machine operations, while M2 processes environmental data to provide real-time operational commands. A centralized platform manages integration and user interactions, optimizing workflow through continuous remote updates.

Xpanner, founded in South Korea in 2020, expanded to the U.S. in 2023. The company continues to innovate in construction automation, offering solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency on job sites.
