Writer Launches Action Agent for Enterprise Automation

Writer has launched the Action Agent, an autonomous AI designed to execute complex, multi-step business tasks across hundreds of software platforms, announced in a press release. This new tool marks a significant advancement in enterprise AI, allowing businesses to automate entire projects without human intervention.

The Action Agent distinguishes itself from traditional AI chatbots by operating at what Writer describes as 'level four orchestration,' enabling it to autonomously complete tasks such as browsing websites, analyzing data, and coordinating work across an organization's technology stack. This capability positions Writer as a strong competitor to Microsoft's Copilot and OpenAI's ChatGPT in the enterprise market.

Writer's Action Agent is built on the Palmyra X5 model, which features a one-million-token context window, allowing it to process extensive datasets and maintain coherence across complex tasks. The agent scored 61% on the GAIA Level 3 benchmark, outperforming OpenAI's Deep Research, and achieved a 10.4% score on the CUB leaderboard for computer and browser use tasks.

The Action Agent is available in beta to existing Writer customers, with plans to expand its capabilities by connecting to over 600 enterprise tools and third-party data platforms. This rollout strategy aims to refine the system based on enterprise feedback while maintaining high security and reliability standards.
