Wisq Secures $15M to Launch HR-Specific AI Model
Wisq has raised $15 million from existing investors Norwest Venture Partners, Shasta Ventures, and True Ventures, announced in a press release. This funding will accelerate the development of Wisq's HR-specific AI initiatives.
The company has introduced HRLM, a large language model designed specifically for the complex and policy-driven world of enterprise HR. HRLM is optimized for tasks such as HR service delivery, policy interpretation, performance management, and employee relations, offering a cost-effective alternative to general-purpose AI models. This model powers Wisq's AI HR Generalist, Harper, providing the necessary speed and accuracy for enterprise HR teams.
Additionally, Wisq has launched Hurdle, a benchmark to evaluate AI performance on HR-specific activities. HRLM performs on par with advanced reasoning models like OpenAI's o3, while operating more efficiently and at a lower cost. The funding will also support the expansion of Wisq's engineering and go-to-market teams.
