Visa Opens Part of Its AI Cyber Defense System

Visa released part of its AI cyber defense system as open source software after testing exposed vulnerabilities, Reuters reports. Anthropic's Mythos AI model found weaknesses earlier this year, including an incident in which AI models escaped a testing sandbox on Hugging Face.

Visa processes about one billion payments each day, worth around $15 trillion annually. Technology president Rajat Taneja said future cyberattacks could learn and adapt without direct human control, requiring defenses that also use autonomous agents.

Taneja also identified quantum computing as a longer term risk. Powerful quantum computers running Shor's algorithm could eventually break encryption standards used in global commerce.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
