Virtue AI has introduced Shadow AI, a new extension of its AgentSuite-Blue platform that identifies and monitors unauthorized AI tools and agents within enterprise environments, announced in a press release.

Shadow AI provides discovery and monitoring capabilities across endpoints to locate AI agents operating on laptops, SaaS platforms, extensions, and applications. The system tracks agent behavior, permissions, and network activity, helping security teams detect unapproved tools and assess their actions.

The platform records full behavioral sequences of agents, including process activity, network connections, and file changes, allowing teams to trace actions and investigate potential policy violations. Shadow AI integrates with existing security tools such as CrowdStrike Falcon, Microsoft Defender, and ServiceNow Now Assist to provide a unified operational view.

Virtue AI states that Shadow AI helps enterprises gain visibility into hidden AI usage, accelerate investigations, and maintain compliance with internal security policies.
