VIAVI Solutions Launches 1.6T Test Appliance for AI and Cloud Data Centers
VIAVI Solutions has launched the TestCenter D2 1.6T Appliance to help hyperscalers, cloud providers, and network equipment manufacturers accelerate 1.6T Ethernet network rollouts, announced in a press release. The appliance is designed to validate performance, scalability, and reliability in multi-vendor, AI-driven network environments.
The TestCenter D2 1.6T Appliance supports advanced L0-7 PHY validation and AI fabric testing, enabling users to emulate large-scale workloads typical of modern AI data centers. It provides scalable traffic capacity and multi-rate operations across next-generation architectures.
VIAVI stated that the platform helps reduce development cycles and ensure readiness for high-speed Ethernet infrastructure. The device also supports testing for emerging optics and interconnect technologies. It will be demonstrated at the company's booth during OFC 2026 in Los Angeles.
