Vexcel has launched Custom Elements, an AI object detection product that identifies objects across its aerial imagery library in more than 45 countries and territories without custom model training.

Vexcel has launched Custom Elements, an AI powered object detection product for its aerial imagery library in more than 45 countries and territories, the company announced in a press release.

Custom Elements lets customers name objects such as propane tanks, putting greens, telephone poles, boats, docks, and utility poles. The product returns each object's location and segmentation polygon across Vexcel imagery.

Vexcel said the product works without custom model training. It uses the company's aerial imagery, which includes 7.5 cm to 15 cm resolution coverage across urban and rural areas.

Custom Elements also adds object detection for oblique aerial imagery. Vexcel collects that imagery at a 45 degree angle from four cardinal directions at 7.5 cm resolution, covering building facades, vertical structures, and objects that overhead imagery may not show.

The product is part of Vexcel Intelligence and is available through Vexcel Studio, Vexcel APIs, and Vexcel MCP.
