UST and Kaynes Semicon have announced a joint venture to establish a Rs 3,300 crore semiconductor assembly and testing facility in Gujarat, India.

UST and Kaynes Semicon have announced a strategic partnership to establish a Rs 3,300 crore Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility in Sanand, Gujarat. This collaboration aims to bolster India's position as a semiconductor hub, aligning with the 'Make in India' initiative. announced in a press release, the venture will leverage UST's expertise in digital engineering and AI-driven processes, alongside Kaynes Semicon's manufacturing capabilities.

The partnership is set to enhance the production of semiconductor components for electronics, electric vehicles, and consumer technology. By combining UST's global presence and Kaynes Semicon's local manufacturing strengths, the venture seeks to meet the rising global demand for advanced semiconductor solutions. This initiative marks a significant step in India's journey towards self-reliance in semiconductor manufacturing, contributing to the country's long-term technological goals.
