TV4 Delays The Challenge Sweden After Edited Season Is Lost
TV4 delayed the second season of Sweden's version of The Challenge to 2027 after its completed edits disappeared weeks before a planned November 22 premiere, Gizmodo reports.
Unnamed sources initially told Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet that an AI agent with access to production company Mastiff's server deleted the edited material. Mastiff described the incident as a technical failure.
TV4 later said its investigation attributed the loss to human error at Mastiff, not AI. Program director Mia Lindqvist said the backup failed, but the raw footage remains available, requiring the production team to edit the season again from scratch.
