TIER IV Introduces MP Camera Series for Level 4 Autonomous Vehicles
TIER IV has introduced the MP camera series, a lineup of automotive-grade cameras built for Level 4 autonomous driving systems, announced in a press release. The series is designed to meet quality requirements for production vehicles and is available at commercial scale.
The MP camera series includes three models at launch: C1 Camera C1-195 MP, C2 Camera C2-030 MP, and C2 Camera C2-062 MP. These cameras feature proprietary image optimization and flexible control for high-fidelity visual data, essential for driverless operations. They are fully compatible with Autoware, the open-source software platform for autonomous driving, helping reduce development time.
Manufacturing and quality control for the cameras are managed by an experienced automotive partner to ensure stable supply. TIER IV is working with partners such as ADLINK, Connect Tech, Neousys, and EUREKA to expand the use of its imaging technology across public transportation, logistics, construction, and agricultural applications.
