ThreeV and RTS Launch Vision Inspection Platform for US Utilities
ThreeV Technologies and Reliability Transformation Solutions have introduced Vision, a managed inspection offering for US electric utilities, announced in a press release. The service combines senior Certified Journeyman Linemen from RTS with ThreeV’s Vision software platform to provide AI enhanced inspection and model training capabilities.
Vision is aimed at utilities conducting regulator mandated programs such as wildfire mitigation, system resiliency, and storm hardening initiatives. Customers can begin with smaller projects or scale up to territory wide inspection programs. The offering provides utilities with expert inspection capacity while simultaneously generating data for AI model training.
Utilities can integrate Vision with existing drone, helicopter, or ground based data capture operations, or use the RTS team for new data collection. Inspection results are available through the Vision platform or directly within the utility’s GIS systems. Each inspection adds to a growing dataset used by ThreeV to develop computer vision and agentic inspection models tailored to the customer’s assets.
Over time, the AI component takes on the majority of routine inspection tasks, reducing costs and allowing senior linemen to focus on verification and complex assessments. The companies said Vision allows utilities to achieve compliant inspection coverage while establishing a cost efficient foundation for future AI enabled operations.
