Teradata Unveils Enterprise Vector Store with NVIDIA Integration
Teradata has announced the launch of its Enterprise Vector Store, an in-database solution that enhances vector data management by leveraging the capabilities of Teradata's hybrid cloud platform. In a press release, Teradata detailed that this new offering is designed to handle both structured and unstructured data, providing sub-second response times even at large data volumes.
The Enterprise Vector Store is set to integrate NVIDIA NeMo Retriever microservices, part of the NVIDIA AI Enterprise software platform, to accelerate compute and optimize retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) applications. This integration aims to enable enterprises to generate real-time business insights from unstructured data sources, such as PDFs, by using NVIDIA's advanced information retrieval solutions.
Teradata's solution is expected to support dynamic AI use cases, including augmented call centers, by providing a unified repository for all data types. It offers seamless integration with existing enterprise systems and supports industry-leading frameworks like LangChain and RAG, enhancing data management and governance practices necessary for Trusted AI.
Currently available in private preview, the Teradata Enterprise Vector Store is anticipated to be generally available by July, offering organizations a scalable and cost-effective way to maximize insights from their data while preparing for an agentic AI future.
