Tensor Earns ISO/SAE 21434 Automotive Cybersecurity Certification

Tensor earned ISO/SAE 21434 certification for its automotive cybersecurity management system after an independent audit by Applus+ IDIADA found no nonconformities.

Tensor earned ISO/SAE 21434 certification for its automotive Cybersecurity Management System, the company said in a press release. An independent audit by Applus+ IDIADA recorded no findings or nonconformities.

The standard covers cybersecurity risk management across a vehicle's lifecycle, including design, software and hardware development, production, operation and decommissioning. The audit examined Tensor's threat analysis, security testing, over the air updates, supply chain controls and production verification processes.

Tensor said the certification provides a process foundation for type approval under UN Regulation No. 155. The regulation applies in markets including Europe, the United Kingdom, South Korea and Japan.
