Tata Elxsi Unveils ViTel Material Intelligence Platform for Medical Device Manufacturers

May 26, 2026
Tata Elxsi has introduced ViTel, a material intelligence platform co-developed with Viridium AI to help medical device manufacturers manage sourcing, compliance, and engineering decisions through AI-powered data integration.

Tata Elxsi announced in a press release the launch of ViTel, a material intelligence platform for medical device manufacturers created in collaboration with Viridium AI. The solution was introduced at DeviceTalks Boston 2026, where Tata Elxsi presented its newest AI-based MedTech engineering and compliance tools.

ViTel is designed to help medical device makers manage material and supplier dependencies, assess sourcing exposure, evaluate alternatives, and address regulatory and cost risks. It creates a unified material intelligence layer by connecting data from bills of materials, supplier documents, ERP, and PLM systems. The system uses Viridium AI's Knowledge Cloud, Chemical Digital Twin, and science-constrained AI models to build a product-material knowledge graph linking materials, chemicals, suppliers, and regulations.

Tata Elxsi integrated its MedTech engineering and regulatory expertise into ViTel, enabling the platform to support decision-making across sourcing, quality, and compliance. The solution was co-developed under Tata Elxsi's STEP UP co-innovation program for deep technology companies. Viridium AI contributed its material intelligence platform and domain-specific AI models to the collaboration.
