Supermicro Launches Kubernetes Edge AI Appliances with Red Hat and Everpure
Supermicro has introduced new Kubernetes Edge AI appliances developed with Red Hat and Everpure, announced in a press release. The appliances integrate Supermicro’s edge computing servers with Red Hat OpenShift and Portworx by Everpure to provide a validated solution for AI workloads at the edge.
The platform combines Red Hat OpenShift’s hybrid cloud application tools with Supermicro’s edge infrastructure and Portworx’s Kubernetes native storage and data management software. It is designed to allow organizations to deploy, scale, and secure AI applications in distributed environments using a pre installed stack of hardware and software.
Supermicro stated that the system can operate independently during network outages while maintaining enterprise level data protection and availability. The configuration provides a consistent operational experience across edge, core, and cloud locations.
Portworx by Everpure supplies the storage and data services layer for the appliances, giving customers the ability to run AI inference, containers, and virtual machines with centralized policy management and resilience. The appliances are available directly from Supermicro as complete edge AI systems ready for deployment.
