Supermicro Unveils New Edge AI Servers with Intel Xeon 6 Processors
Supermicro has introduced a new range of servers optimized for edge AI applications, featuring the latest Intel Xeon 6 processors, announced in a press release. These new systems are designed to enhance performance and efficiency for AI workloads from data centers to the edge.
The new servers, including the SYS-112D series, are equipped with Intel's Xeon 6 SoC processors, offering up to 144 CPU cores and over 40% more memory bandwidth. These features enable businesses to optimize real-time AI inferencing and support smarter applications across various industries. The compact design of these servers allows for deployment in space-constrained environments, making them ideal for edge AI, telecom, networking, and content delivery networks.
Supermicro's new offerings also include the SYS-E201-14AR and SYS-E300-14AR systems, which are optimized for IoT and AI inferencing at the far edge. These systems feature the 15th Gen Intel Core Ultra processors with up to 24 cores and an onboard Neural Processing Unit (NPU) AI accelerator, enhancing their capability for enterprise edge use cases.
Additionally, Supermicro's 2U Edge AI product family, such as the SYS-212B-FLN2T, combines Intel's new processors with up to six single-width GPU accelerators, providing a robust solution for enterprise edge and telco environments.
