Sumo Logic Adds AI Tools to Data Pipelines

Sumo Logic has expanded Data Pipelines with AI assisted configuration, live previews, anomaly detection, and controls for filtering and routing telemetry before ingestion.

Sumo Logic announced enhanced Data Pipelines in a press release, adding telemetry management to its Intelligent Operations Platform. Security and operations teams can filter, transform, and route telemetry before it is ingested, stored, and analyzed.

The system includes a live pipeline preview, AI assisted rule configuration, anomaly detection, format shift detection, and recommendations for routing or dropping data. A human remains responsible for reviewing the recommended actions. Sumo Logic says its platform ingests and analyzes nearly seven exabytes of data each day.

Planned additions include visual AI assisted telemetry optimization, controls for cloud and edge data, support for external destinations, and an OpenTelemetry management layer for configuring collectors and pipelines. Some of these capabilities will become available later in 2026.
