SU Group Wins Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department Contract for AI Safety System

May 22, 2026
SU Group has secured a new government contract with the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department to install its AI and IoT based Smart Site Safety System across multiple construction sites, following the city's mandate for public works safety technology adoption.

SU Group announced in a press release that it has won a new government contract from the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department. The project involves installing the company's Smart Site Safety System, known as 4S, at four construction sites for the department's navigation stations.

The 4S system combines artificial intelligence and Internet of Things technology to improve workplace safety and operational efficiency. It uses sensors, cameras, and mobile networks to provide continuous monitoring of structural stability, environmental conditions, and worker movements. The system delivers real time alerts for unsafe acts, hazardous areas, and equipment use, allowing for immediate mitigation actions.

Since July 2024, Hong Kong has required all public works projects to adopt Smart Site Safety Systems. This mandate aims to reduce construction accidents through early detection and response. SU Group's 4S platform also includes features such as centralized management dashboards, digital permit to work systems, electronic access control, and virtual reality based safety training.

The company stated that the new contract strengthens its position in the expanding market for safety management technologies in public sector construction.
