StackGen Acquires Shipyard for Ephemeral Testing Environments

StackGen acquires Shipyard and plans to add its ephemeral testing environments to the Autonomous Operations Factory. Financial terms were not disclosed.

StackGen acquires Shipyard, the company announced in a press release. Financial terms were not disclosed, and Shipyard's engineering and customer teams will join StackGen.

Shipyard creates a complete software environment for each pull request, then removes it after the change is merged. StackGen plans to integrate the technology into its Autonomous Operations Factory so code changes, including those proposed by AI agents, can be tested against a complete application stack before production.

The product will continue under the name Shipyard by StackGen. Existing customers will retain their current product, contracts, and support contacts.
