Solidion Technology Unveils High-Performance Pouch Battery for Drones

Solidion Technology has introduced a prototype 9.5Ah pouch battery cell designed for industrial and military drones, offering high power stability and efficiency. The company plans to make the product commercially available in the second quarter of 2026.

Solidion Technology Inc. has showcased a prototype 9.5Ah pouch battery cell designed for use in industrial and military drones, announced in a press release. The company reports that the cell retains about 95% of its capacity at a 10c discharge rate, compared to the 78% capacity retention typical of most pouch cells at 5c.

The new pouch cell is being developed to deliver high power stability for drone and unmanned aerial vehicle applications. Solidion plans to make the product available for commercial use in the second quarter of 2026.

Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with pilot production facilities in Dayton, Ohio, Solidion focuses on battery materials and next-generation energy storage systems. Its portfolio includes over 525 patents covering technologies such as graphene-enabled silicon anodes, biomass-based graphite, and lithium-sulfur and lithium-metal batteries.
