SKF has joined Sferical AI as a strategic compute partner to advance industrial AI development in Sweden, securing capacity on one of the country's most powerful sovereign AI supercomputers.

SKF has joined Sferical AI as a strategic compute partner, announced in a press release. The collaboration secures SKF dedicated capacity on one of Sweden's most powerful sovereign AI supercomputers to accelerate industrial AI deployment while keeping sensitive engineering and design data within the European industrial ecosystem.

Sferical AI was co-founded by AstraZeneca, Ericsson, Saab, SEB, and Wallenberg Investments. As a buyer-participant, SKF will enable high performance AI workloads in predictive maintenance, quality control, tribology-informed machine learning, research and development, engineering optimization, and digital product design.

The partnership supports SKF's existing cloud strategy and focuses on research and capability development. It aims to strengthen operational performance and accelerate innovation while ensuring security and competitiveness in Sweden's industrial ecosystem.
