Shield AI announced in a press release that its X-BAT has been named the Official Autonomous Aircraft of the Army-Navy Game presented by USAA. The company also joined the game as an associate sponsor.

The 127th Army-Navy Game will be played Dec. 12, 2026, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The matchup between Army West Point and Navy will air on CBS at 3 pm ET and on Westwood One Radio.

X-BAT is an AI piloted VTOL fighter jet powered by Shield AI’s Hivemind autonomy software. The company says the aircraft is designed for expeditionary and maritime operations, can take off and land vertically, and has a range of more than 2,000 nautical miles at full mission payload.

Shield AI said X-BAT will serve as its flagship aircraft for the sponsorship. The company plans to have a presence during Army-Navy Game week, with fan experiences and programming to be announced before kickoff.
