Sensmore Secures $7.3M to Advance Intelligent Robotics
Sensmore, a robotics startup based in Berlin/Potsdam, has raised $7.3 million in a funding round led by Point Nine Capital. The funds will be used to advance their Physical AI technology, which aims to transform large mobile machinery into intelligent robots. The funding round also saw participation from international investors such as Acequia Capital, Tiny Supercomputer, Prototype Capital, and Entrepreneur First.
Sensmore's technology focuses on retrofitting fleets like wheel loaders and haul trucks with a modular platform that integrates AI and Vision-Language-Action Models (VLAMs). This enables real-time automation of complex tasks such as load and carry operations in production environments. The company plans to expand its operations to global markets, including Australia, the US, and Chile, to drive mass adoption of intelligent heavy machines.
The startup's roadmap includes products like Sensmore Machine Assist for collision alerts and precision positioning, Sensmore Site OS for operational oversight, and Sensmore Eye for vision-based quality control. These modules are designed to generate and utilize large volumes of real-time environmental data, enhancing productivity and safety in sectors like construction and mining.
Sensmore's first fully automated Load-Haul-Dump (LHD) machine is currently undergoing field testing, demonstrating the company's commitment to delivering robust automation systems capable of adapting to dynamic and harsh conditions without manual intervention.
