Semperis Appoints John Podboy as Chief Information Security Officer

Semperis has appointed John Podboy as Chief Information Security Officer to strengthen its focus on risk, resilience, compliance, and AI-driven cyber defense. Podboy brings over 15 years of experience in cybersecurity and technology management, having held leadership roles at major organizations including Fifth Third Bank, First Citizens Bank, Thomson Reuters, and GE Digital.

Semperis has appointed John Podboy as Chief Information Security Officer, announced in a press release. Podboy will support the company's next phase of growth with a focus on risk, resilience, compliance, and AI driven cyber defense.

Podboy has more than 15 years of experience in cybersecurity, technology management, and digital transformation, having led large security programs for federal agencies and global companies across retail, manufacturing, industrial, technology, media, and financial services. He previously held leadership roles at Fifth Third Bank, First Citizens Bank, Thomson Reuters, and GE Digital.

At Semperis, Podboy will work to strengthen internal and product security as the company expands its identity focused cyber resilience offerings. Semperis provides protection for multi cloud and hybrid identity environments such as Active Directory, Entra ID, Okta, and Ping Identity, helping organizations prevent and recover from identity based cyberattacks.

According to Semperis Chief Operating Officer Sharon Vardi, Podboy's experience scaling security programs across large enterprises will enhance the company's ability to protect hybrid identity environments and support rapid recovery when attacks occur.
