Sectra has signed a distribution agreement with Paige.AI to include pathology in its AI services, offering a unified solution for cancer diagnostics.

Sectra has signed a distribution agreement with Paige.AI, extending its fully managed AI services to include pathology. Announced in a press release, this collaboration marks the first time Sectra will offer AI applications for pathology through a single contract, hosting solution, and vendor for implementation, integration, and support.

The agreement allows Sectra to provide a unified AI solution for radiology, cardiology, and now pathology, enhancing collaboration across these specialties to optimize cancer diagnostics. The Sectra Amplifier Service, a cloud-based platform, will host these applications, simplifying the management of AI tools for healthcare providers by integrating them into a single infrastructure.

As part of this initiative, a proof-of-concept project has been launched with Region Skåne in Sweden, focusing on the Paige Prostate Suite. This project aims to integrate AI into pathology workflows, providing automated diagnostic results to improve accuracy and efficiency in prostate cancer care. The insights gained from this project are expected to inform future AI implementations both within and beyond Region Skåne.
