SandboxAQ Makes AQPotency Available for Drug Discovery

August 19, 2026
SandboxAQ has made AQPotency generally available on Claude through Model Context Protocol. The model ranks candidate molecules for drug discovery without requiring a solved protein structure.

SandboxAQ announced in a press release the general availability of AQPotency, a Large Quantitative Model for drug discovery that is available on Claude through Model Context Protocol. The model predicts how strongly candidate molecules are likely to act on disease targets without requiring a solved protein structure.

AQPotency ranks molecule and target pairs in seconds on ordinary computing hardware. The company said the service can cost as little as $1 per 1,000 comparisons and returns confidence information with each prediction.

The system can also start with one molecule and scan a panel of proteins to rank likely targets. SandboxAQ said the model has been used in eight customer programs with experimental validation.

AQPotency is available through Claude and SandboxAQ's website. Availability on the Marketplace from Google Cloud is planned to follow.
