Rokt has appointed Bill Barton as Chief Operating Officer, expanding his responsibilities to include People, Security, and Legal functions while continuing to oversee the company's Swarm initiative.

Rokt announced in a press release the appointment of Bill Barton as Chief Operating Officer. Barton previously served as Rokt's Chief Product and Engineering Officer and as a strategic advisor to the company.

In his new role, Barton will oversee the People, Security, and Legal functions. The People function will now include talent acquisition, operations, employment legal, and business partnerships under unified leadership. Security and Legal will complete his portfolio, focusing on how Rokt builds and protects its operations while managing risk.

Barton will continue to lead Rokt's Swarm initiative, a cross functional group focused on high priority product development. He brings over forty years of experience in engineering and product leadership, including a decade at Amazon, where he was one of the original architects of Alexa.

Rokt CEO Bruce Buchanan said Barton's technical expertise and organizational leadership make him well suited for the role, which connects people management, risk, and operational speed.
