Righ and Synaptics Collaborate on Smart Home AI Solutions

Sep 4, 2025
Righ has partnered with Synaptics to enhance smart home AI applications using the Astra SL1600 SoC, focusing on privacy and real-time edge intelligence.

Righ has partnered with Synaptics to advance smart home AI applications, as announced in a press release. The collaboration integrates Righ's distributed agentic AI platform, RighValor, with Synaptics' Astra SL1600 family of SoCs. This integration aims to deliver privacy-first, real-time intelligence directly on the edge, reducing reliance on cloud computing.

The partnership leverages the Astra SL1680 SoC and RighGravity, Righ's network control plane and data management service, to enable intelligent services within homes. This setup optimizes speed and efficiency by distributing tasks across devices, ensuring privacy and lowering operational costs.

At the upcoming IBC 2025, Righ and Synaptics will demonstrate a live deployment of RighValor on the Astra SL1680. The demonstration will showcase features like distributed parallelism, real-time device identification, and on-device image processing, highlighting the potential for enhanced privacy and faster response times in smart home environments.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
