Ridge AI Emerges from Stealth with $2.6M Pre-Seed for AI-Native Analytics
In a press release, Ridge AI announced it has emerged from stealth with $2.6 million in pre-seed funding led by Madrona, with participation from TheFounderVC and angel investors from Tableau, Trifacta, and Streamlit. The Seattle-based company provides an AI-native analytics platform that lets B2B software firms deploy interactive dashboards and AI data agents in hours instead of months.
Founded by CEO Ellie Fields and Chief Scientist Jeff Heer, Ridge AI builds on the Mosaic open-source framework developed at the University of Washington. The platform processes data directly in the browser using WebAssembly and DuckDB, eliminating the need for cloud infrastructure and enabling sub-second interactivity on large datasets.
Ridge AI’s system allows customers to ask questions in natural language through an AI data agent integrated into dashboards embedded within SaaS products. The company is now accepting applications for beta access as it begins onboarding teams to the platform.
