Red Queen Bio Names Ian Watson Chief Government Affairs Officer
Red Queen Bio, an AI biosecurity company backed by OpenAI and Cerberus Ventures, appointed Ian Watson as chief government affairs officer, the company said in a press release. Watson will lead its government affairs strategy and engagement with federal agencies and national laboratories, including the Department of War, the Department of Energy and the Department of Health and Human Services.
Watson most recently served as deputy assistant secretary of war for chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense. He also served as executive secretary of the Biodefense Executive Council and led the Department of War's biosurveillance program.
His earlier roles included senior positions at the Department of Health and Human Services, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. Red Queen Bio, headquartered in Boston, says it combines advances in biology and artificial intelligence to build technologies that help governments respond to emerging biological threats.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
