Reale Brothers to Debut Patented AI Reading Platform Feral Fiction at Yale Innovation Summit
Announced in a press release, brothers Willie and Tom Reale will introduce Feral Fiction, a newly patented AI reading platform, at the Yale Innovation Summit on May 27. The system is built on U.S. Patent No. 12,627,766, which covers an AI language model enabled narrative engine.
Feral Fiction allows readers to participate directly in stories by taking on the role of a character. The AI adapts dialogue, scenes, and outcomes in real time based on user input. The platform also includes adjustable readability settings to support younger and reluctant readers.
Co-founder Willie Reale said the goal is to use AI to encourage more reading rather than replace it. His brother, Tom Reale, who invented the patented technology, noted that large language models make it possible to create interactive narratives without predefining every possible action.
The platform was developed by literacy experts and is designed to be age appropriate and safe. Beyond reading, the founders see applications in language learning, interactive fiction, training, and cultural preservation. Feral Fiction’s public debut will take place at the Yale Innovation Summit in New Haven, Connecticut.
