Raintree Acquires Spike Technologies to Embed AI Voice in Healthcare Workflows

July 16, 2026
Raintree has acquired Spike Technologies to integrate agentic AI voice capabilities directly into its electronic health record platform, automating tasks in revenue cycle and patient engagement operations.

Raintree has acquired Spike Technologies, a developer of agentic AI voice technology for healthcare, according to a press release. The acquisition embeds AI voice capabilities into Raintree's electronic health record and practice management platform used by rehabilitation and physical therapy organizations.

The integrated AI voice system will automate tasks such as payer calls, claim follow-up, eligibility and authorization checks, and patient outreach. Designed as a native function within Raintree's platform, the technology provides agents with clinical, scheduling, and financial context to support revenue cycle management and patient engagement operations.

Raintree stated that the AI agents differ from traditional chatbots or rules-based automation by reasoning and executing multi-step actions. The company expects this integration to reduce manual administrative work and improve claim processing efficiency for therapy practices.

The combined Raintree and Spike team plans to expand AI automation across additional workflows. More information on future features and availability is scheduled to be presented at TherapyCon in Austin, Texas, in August 2026. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
