Protege Secures $25 Million Series A to Expand AI Data Platform
Protege has announced the successful closing of a $25 million Series A funding round, led by Footwork, as stated in a press release. The funding will be used to enhance Protege's AI training data platform, which facilitates the secure exchange of proprietary data for AI development.
Since its $10 million seed round in 2024, Protege has partnered with over 100 data partners across various sectors, including healthcare and media. The platform boasts an extensive catalog of AI training data, featuring over 300,000 hours of video content and billions of clinical notes. Recently, Protege launched two new verticals, Audio & Speech and Motion Capture, to further broaden its reach.
The company plans to use the new funding to deepen product investments, expand into additional verticals, and strengthen partnerships with enterprise customers and data partners. Protege's CEO, Bobby Samuels, emphasized the importance of safely unlocking proprietary data to accelerate AI development.
