Plug and Play to Open AI Center of Excellence in San Jose
Plug and Play is launching its first AI Center of Excellence in San Jose on April 2, 2025, announced in a press release. This initiative is designed to accelerate digital transformation in artificial intelligence by connecting entrepreneurs, corporate partners, and academia.
The San Jose center will collaborate with organizations such as the Knight Foundation, PG&E, the City of San Jose, Glean, Turing, KPMG LLP, San Jose State University, and U.S. Bank. The goal is to foster AI innovation, literacy, and economic growth in the region. The launch event will feature discussions on AI's impact and emerging trends, with insights from industry leaders.
San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan expressed enthusiasm for the center, highlighting the city's strong track record in AI patents and job creation. The initiative aims to attract startups and talent, further establishing San Jose as a hub for AI innovation. Following the San Jose launch, Plug and Play plans to expand its AI Centers of Excellence to other cities, with Seattle already announced as the next location.
