PhoenixAI has launched as the Agentic AI Database, an analytical engine built for AI agents to query live enterprise data with sub-second latency and high concurrency, announced in a press release. The company also appointed Rick Underwood as President to oversee growth, customer delivery, and operations.

PhoenixAI is designed for workloads where thousands of AI agents simultaneously query and act on large volumes of live data. The system unifies real-time and historical data in a single engine to simplify management and reduce costs. It includes governance features such as data sovereignty controls, role-based access, SOC 2 compliance, and encryption.

Underwood previously served as CEO of Clumio, which was acquired by Commvault. He held leadership roles at Snowflake, Wavefront, and Semmle, contributing to their acquisitions or IPOs. PhoenixAI is available as a Bring Your Own Cloud deployment and as a self-hosted option named PhoenixAI Anywhere.
