pgEdge Launches Starfleet Postgres Cloud Platform

Sep 28, 2026
pgEdge Starfleet combines Postgres hosting, AI development tools, database branching and flexible deployment options. It is available now with a trial that lasts 14 days.

pgEdge announces pgEdge Starfleet, a Postgres cloud database platform for moving AI applications from prototypes into production, in a press release. The platform can run on infrastructure hosted by pgEdge, in a customer cloud, on premises, in a private cloud or in environments without external network access.

Starfleet includes an Agentic AI Toolkit with a Model Context Protocol server for connecting tools such as Claude Code, Replit and Cursor. It also provides a retrieval augmented generation API using pgvector, optional PostgREST access and copy on write database branching for development, testing and agent experiments.

Users can scale from one Postgres instance to multi region clusters with high availability. Security features include IP allowlisting and SafeSession for read only connections. Starfleet is available now, with pricing starting at $25 per month and a trial that lasts 14 days without requiring a credit card.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
