O'Shaughnessy Ventures Awards Fellowship for AI Research
O'Shaughnessy Ventures has awarded a $100,000 fellowship to Miguel Solano, an AI researcher based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, announced in a press release. Solano will use the fellowship to develop a new approach to increasing AI computing power and pursue projects in drug discovery and clean energy.
Solano, who has over a decade of experience in AI research and engineering, aims to expand AI computing power beyond current hardware limits using frontier mathematics and computer science. He believes that scaling up current AI technology could lead to achieving artificial general intelligence (AGI).
The fellowship is part of the O'Shaughnessy Fellowships program, which was launched in 2023 to support creatives, builders, and researchers with a $100,000 grant and access to a network of founders, investors, and experts. Solano is the fourth fellow selected in 2025, with applications open until April 30, 2025.
