Optro Launches AI Agents for Audit and Compliance

Oct 14, 2026
Optro introduced AI agents for audit testing, compliance, third party risk management, risk assessment and AI governance.

Optro announced in a press release a set of domain trained AI agents for audit, compliance, third party risk management and AI governance. The company unveiled the products at its CRX user conference on October 14.

The Autonomous Testing agent expands Optro's testing engine beyond SOX controls to operational audits across all control types. Other agents clarify evidence requests, recommend initial risk scores with supporting evidence, collect compliance evidence, evaluate controls and perform vendor onboarding and due diligence tasks.

Optro also introduced an AI governance agent that creates AI system records from existing documents and identifies controls that available evidence satisfies. Its AI Discovery feature, scheduled for availability in 2027, will identify unauthorized AI use across an organization.

Optro says each agent operates within permissions and guardrails defined by customers, while logging actions, decisions and evidence. Reddit automated 175 controls during its first three months with Autonomous Testing and reduced average testing time per control by 60%, according to Optro.
