Optiv Sells ACT Consulting Business to Vobis Ventures

Optiv has sold its advisory, consulting, and transformation business to Vobis Ventures, which will operate it as Optiv Consulting and serve as Optiv's exclusive services partner for one year.

In a press release, Optiv announced the sale of its advisory, consulting, and transformation (ACT) project-based services business to Vobis Ventures. The transaction closed on June 1, 2026. Vobis Ventures will use ACT as the foundation for its cybersecurity services, focusing on governance and security for AI systems.

The acquired business will operate under the name Optiv Consulting and act as Optiv's exclusive services partner for the next year. Optiv will continue to provide managed services and staff augmentation internally while leveraging Optiv Consulting for project-based work.

Anup Kumar, Operations Executive Partner at Vobis Ventures, has been appointed CEO of Optiv Consulting. He will lead efforts to expand the business and support enterprises deploying autonomous AI with integrated governance. The unit includes around 500 consultants and engineers serving over 800 enterprise clients.

Barclays served as the exclusive financial advisor to Optiv for the transaction.
