Nvidia Discusses Perplexity Investment at Over $30 Billion Valuation
NVIDIA is in talks to invest in Perplexity AI as part of an equity funding round that would value the startup at more than $30 billion, Reuters reports, citing The Information.
The round would increase Perplexity's valuation by more than 50 percent from its previous financing a year ago. Perplexity was valued at $20 billion in a financing finalized last September.
Perplexity's annualized revenue has risen to more than $750 million from less than $250 million at the start of the year. Part of that growth came from Perplexity Computer, a cloud based AI agent used by professionals to automate computer based tasks.
Perplexity declined to comment on the report. NVIDIA did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
