Novity Receives Strategic Investment from Acario Innovation
Novity has received a strategic investment from Acario, the corporate venture division of Tokyo Gas, announced in a press release. The funding will support the expansion of Novity's TruPrognostics platform, which combines AI and physics-based modeling to predict equipment faults and improve reliability in process industries.
Novity’s technology detects early signs of equipment issues across machinery such as compressors, pumps, and motors, providing actionable maintenance timelines. The company reports over 90 percent detection accuracy in production environments and works with data already collected by industrial operators.
Acario CEO Kenji Maeda said the investment aligns with Tokyo Gas’s focus on improving reliability and efficiency across energy infrastructure. Novity’s platform is designed to help industries move away from fixed maintenance schedules by generating predictive insights from multiple sensor data types, including temperature, vibration, and acoustic emissions.
The investment follows previous backing from Myriad Ventures, WERU Investment, and Metawater, and builds on Novity’s deployments in oil and gas, LNG terminals, and wastewater operations.
