Microsoft Edge Introduces AI-Powered Copilot Mode

Microsoft Corporation has launched a new feature in its Edge browser called Copilot Mode, which allows users to browse the web with AI assistance, announced on their website. This experimental feature is designed to help users by understanding their research, predicting their needs, and taking actions on their behalf.
Copilot Mode introduces a new tab page where users can search, chat, and navigate the web with AI support. It can assist with tasks such as booking appointments, creating shopping lists, and drafting content. Additionally, it offers voice input capabilities, making it accessible for users with limited mobility or those less familiar with online booking processes.
The feature is currently opt-in and free for Mac and PC users with access to Copilot. Microsoft emphasizes that user privacy and security are prioritized, with Copilot only accessing browsing content when permitted by the user. This new mode aims to streamline web browsing by reducing the need for multiple tabs and providing a more intuitive browsing experience.
