MemorialCare Introduces Cleerly AI Heart Disease Analysis Across Southern California

MemorialCare has introduced Cleerly’s artificial intelligence coronary analysis technology across its network, announced in a press release. The rollout includes Long Beach Medical Center, Orange Coast Medical Center, and Saddleback Medical Center, with Long Beach becoming the first hospital in Los Angeles County to offer the AI based assessment.

The FDA cleared system from Cleerly enhances standard coronary CT angiography by identifying and measuring both calcified and non calcified plaque in the coronary arteries. The AI detects soft plaque that may be missed by traditional imaging and is more likely to cause heart attacks. This allows clinicians to better quantify total plaque volume and assess patient specific risk.

Each Cleerly scan at MemorialCare is reviewed by board certified physicians, and results are discussed with patients during individual consultations. The noninvasive analysis is covered by Medicare and several major insurers, including UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, and Humana, for symptomatic patients.

The launch expands access to advanced cardiac imaging throughout Southern California, with MemorialCare emphasizing the system’s potential to aid early detection and personalized treatment planning for coronary artery disease.
