Mantic raised $25 million in seed funding after its AI system outperformed every human competitor in a recent forecasting contest, Reuters reports. Radical Ventures led the round at an undisclosed valuation, with participation from Microsoft’s Venture Fund (M12), Thinking Machines Lab, Balderton Capital and other investors.

The London based startup adapts AI models from other labs for forecasting. It tests predictions against historical data, grades the results and uses them to improve its system.

Mantic outperformed every human participant and all but one AI entrant in the summer 2026 Metaculus Cup, which covered political, economic and cultural events. Companies and government agencies have integrated its technology, though Mantic did not identify its customers.
