Lunit has been selected as the exclusive AI partner for the breast cancer screening program in Spain's Valencian Community, announced in a press release. This marks a significant European deployment for Lunit, a leader in AI for cancer diagnostics and therapeutics.
The Valencian Community, Spain's third-largest region by population, aims to increase participation in its breast screening program from 250,000 to 400,000 women annually. After evaluating multiple AI vendors, Lunit's solutions were chosen for their ability to optimize workflows and support radiologists in delivering timely, accurate diagnoses.
The contract involves the implementation of Lunit INSIGHT MMG and Lunit INSIGHT DBT across the region, making it Lunit's largest European project to date. This collaboration also includes ongoing scientific research to explore new strategies for improving early cancer detection and population health outcomes.
